BHIM Nation president and dancehall sensation Stonebwoy says beating Shatta Wale, Mz Vee and late Ebony Reigns to win the ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year’ at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards makes him the King of Dancehall music in Ghana.
Stonebwoy who has won the award on four consecutive times stated in an interview on TV3 that:
“I am happy, and it actually cements my championship, because four times in a row at the Ghana Music Awards from 2014 till now means a lot”.
“Winning awards like this just stamp my hard work and makes me fulfilled in a way as an artiste”,
Recounting some of his feats since he rose to fame said:
“Being on different platforms like the 3Music Award, and even at the BETs, AFRIMA and making waves locally and internationally only gives me encouragement to keep doing what I always know what to do best.”
Stonebwoy sharing why she writes songs based on personal experiences concluded that:
“We all go through life and keep inspiring each other. I trust that if I go to the studio to put some creative piece together, the majority of the pieces that I weave should be able to inspire them.”
