The 17th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, VGMA 2016 saw EL carrying away the most coveted ‘Artiste Of The Year ‘ award.
The VGMA 2016 ‘Artiste Of The Year’ also won the producer of the year, Afro pop song of the year, Hip-life/Hip-hop artiste of the year and music video of the year.
VGMA 2016 witnessed thrilling live performances from Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Wizkid, Efya Among others. Highlife sensation Bisa K’dei won the VGMA 2016 ‘Album Of The Year’ and three other awards. Sarkodie also grabbed the best rapper award and two other awards. Whiles Fante rapper, Kofi Kinaata also won VGMA 2016 ‘Best New artiste’ and song writer of the year.
Overall, the VGMA 2016 show hosted by Chris Attoh and Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku was on point. Organisers started the show on time and ended it in time for an after party. Check out the full list of award winners at the VGMA 2016.
