The Kumawood industry has won the hearts of many Ghanaians in and outside the country. But there has been growing concern of the industries collapse due to low film quality, marketing strategies and other factors. There is also this well-known fact that Kumawood producers do not pay the actors/actress well. In fact they invest very little in their movies right from production to sales.
Ghanaian Actor, Prince David Osei in a recent interview with Accra-based Hitz FM shared his worst encounter in the hands of one Kumawood producer. According to the Prince, his worst encounter was when a popular Kumawood producer tried to offer him GH¢2,000 for a movie role.
