PPP’s case against the Electoral Commission squashed

The Accra High Court has dismissed an interlocutory application by the PPP seeking to bar the electoral commission of Ghana from collecting filing fees from Political Parties.

The PPP had wanted the court to stop the EC from collecting fees until the determination of its suit challenging the legality of fees. But the court, presided over by Mr Justice Daniel Mensah, dismissed the application and adjourned the substantive case to Tuesday October 11, 2016.
