Opoku Ware SHS suspends three ‘gay’ students

Three students of the Opoku Ware Senior High School in the Ashanti region have been suspended indefinitely for allegedly being involved in gay activities.

The students suspected to be gay formed part of the team that represented the school in the recent Vodafone icon inter schools music challenge.

The affected students were suspended after a disciplinary committee established they were gay, after they were caught in the act by some students who reported the matter to the officials.

One of the students who have been suspended has however denied being involved in the gay act and claims he and his colleagues have been wrongly accused.

He claims that the allegations are untrue and questions why they are being punished for something they have not done, but ruled out the possibility of filing a law suit against the school.
