Issy Simpson, the young magician who has won the love of viewers with his amazing magic tricks is on his way to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent. The young magician was crowned victorious during Tuesday’s semi-final episode of Britain’s Got Talent on ITV.
Issy Simpson joined fellow magician Matt Edwards, who will both go through to Sunday’s final after beating seven other acts, including third place contestants, contemporary dance act Grace and Ali.
The young girl had to be comforted by her mother on the stage as it all got too much for her when she was told by hosts Ant and Dec that she had received the most public votes on the night.
Watch Issy Simpson stun Britain’s Got Talent Judges and Audience
Speaking to the Mail On Sunday the weekend before the live shows, Issy, from Blackpool, admitted she was ‘a bit nervous’ about the prospect of impressing the judges – and millions watching at home – in the two and a half minutes she had been allotted.
But she admitted: ‘I’ve been practising on my grandpa,’ – professional magician Russ Stevens. It was Russ who got Issy interested in conjuring a year ago after buying her a Marvin’s Magic set – and who has helped her hone her skills.
‘We started with a few tricks, like some card tricks, that were hard then but easy for me now,’ she says.
