I won’t stop once ‘dumsor’ persist – Yvonne Nelson

Award winning Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson says once the energy crisis persists, she will not end her #DumsorMustStop campaign on social media.

According to her, the situation has halted her movie production activities, thus her decision to voice out her pain.

Some businesses are collapsing and others have laid off workers because of the erratic power supply in the country.

More and more people have vented their anger on the president for failing to solve the problem amid numerous failed promises.

Sarkodie, Yvonne Nelson, Lydia Forson, Ama K. Abrebrese and comedian DKB have recently poured out their anger on social media, questioning the government’s ability to solve the issue.

In a bizarre twist, a member of the communications team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Halidu Haruna, in response to the celebrities’ criticisms, described them as prostitutes.

Even though he has since apologized after heavy criticism from the people of Ghana,Yvonne Nelson on Okay FM’s morning show on Monday expressed disappointment at the comment from the NDC man.

“It is really sad to hear a whole official from the government say that, and even that should tell you where we are heading as a country.

“Dumsor is really worrying us. Pregnant women are suffering. People are dying. We just want to know the truth because Ghanaians don’t deserve those troubles,”

she stated.

“We just want our voices to be heard and I believe my voice will travel high to tell government the trauma this dumsor has subjected us to. Once dumsor persist I won’t stop talking about it”

she declared.
