Guru pulls out of VGMA 2017 after securing 3 nominations


Ghanaian rapper Guru, has pulled out of the most coveted music award in the country after securing three nominations.

Guru announced he will not be a part of the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards after the awards organisers announced nominees on Friday.

According to the NKZ Boss in a Facebook post to his loyal fans, the VGMAs is no more relevant and he’s not interested in it again upon a countless number of deserving swap of awards over the years. The artiste has been nominated several times in the past without winning any awards which left a lot of NKZ fans doubting the credibility of the awards show. The awards show has also received a lot of critism from top artiste like Shatta Wale, Kwasey Pee and Iwan.

  • Hiplife/Hiphop Artist of the year
