The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced August 10 as the date for the association’s Extra-Ordinary Congress to elect its president.

The decision to hold the elections on the said date was taken yesterday at the GFA Executive Committee meeting in Accra.

According to the Communications Director of the GFA, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, nominations for the election to be held in Tamale at a yet to be disclosed venue would be opened on July 13 and closed on July 17.

He said the nomination process would be followed by the vetting committee submitting a report on the various nominees on July 27.
