The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially signed a GHC 2.1 million sponsorship deal for three years with GN Bank, as the headline sponsor for the second-tier Division One League.
The second_tier league has been without a major sponsor over the past two years after it’s sponsorship deal with Poly Tank’s deal elapsed.
The signing of the new deal for the Division one league was done on Wednesday.
GN bank, which is a wholly-owned Ghanaian bank becomes the second financial institution after First Capital Plus to sponsor a league in Ghana.
This year’s Division one League will have three Zones made up of 16 clubs each with the three winners of each zone qualifying automatically into the Ghana Premier League.
