One half of popular hiplife music group Ruff N Smooth, Bullet has lashed out on TV3 and some Ghanaian media houses. Bullet was seen in a viral video on social media angrily lashing out on a TV3 producer.
In an interview with KokonsaGh.com, The hiplife star revealed that he was really disappointed in TV3 for the disrespect they show to Ghanaian musicians. According to Bullet, Ghanaian media especially the TV stations do not support their own but rather go for international content. The rapper revealed TV3 are fond of calling his artiste, Ebony to support their program but do not dedicate any airtime to promote her. He said what pissed him of most was the fact that, TV3 had Ghanaian artiste like Choir Master, Adomaa and Ebony on the show but they disrespected them by playing Nigerian music.
Talking on supporting our own as Ghanaians, Bullet has started a movement dubbed #SupportYourOwn to push te Ghanaian media and event organisers to give priority to Ghanaian artiste. He quizzed how many Ghanaian artistes has ever headlined a show in Nigeria yet Nigerian artiste headline shows in Ghana. He further challenged the big artistes in Ghana, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale to come out if they had ever headlined a show in Nigeria.
Ghanaian artiste must commend Bullet for taking on the TV and the media for their behaviour. The fact that he was not fighting for himself even makes it even more laudable. Dancehall King, Shatta Wale who also shared bullets video on Facebook also lauded him for fighting for the Ghanaian artiste.
