Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has disclosed that life has not always been smooth for him as he’s had to overcome several obstacles in his strive to the top. He pointed out his mental toughness as what has kept him going all this while.
Just yesterday, Gyan was accused by Sarah Kwabla, a 22-year-old university student of sodomy. The lady who is threatening to make public what she describes as a secretly recorded video of seksual intercourse she had with Asamoah Gyan if the Al Ain striker does not meet her demands.
Sarah said she secretly recorded the video when the Black Stars captain slept with her at her apartment in February this year and that she has decided to make it public because her relationship with the footballer is not going as she had envisaged.
The 22-year-old university student is also claiming she got pregnant after the intercourse and is therefore demanding that Asamoah Gyan gets her a furnished apartment, a housemaid and a monthly stipend of $1,000 for postnatal care.

But Asamoah Gyan in an interview with Accra based Happy FM said;
“What has kept me going up to this time is my mental toughness. All through my career, I have always contended with obstacles whenever I’m trying to do anything but I never give up because I am mentally strong. I have not always had things running smoothly for me but I try to sail through.”
He added that,
“People may not know but my favourite genre of music is gospel. I listen to gospel songs every time and that is what inspires me and I sing them too.”
