Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) defeated incumbent President John Dramani Mahama in the 2016 presidential election. President Mahama has since conceded defeat and promised a smooth transition.

President John Dramani Mahama on wednesday morning invited president-elect Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo to tour the flagstaff house ahead of the President-elect’s swearing-in.

Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) defeated incumbent President John Dramani Mahama in the 2016 presidential election. President Mahama has since conceded defeat and promised a smooth transition. In his quest to ensure a smooth change in government, President Mahama invited president-elect and the vice president-elect Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia to the flagstaff house.

This is part of a familiarisation tour of all executive properties before Nana Addo takes over the reigns of government on January 7. Nana Addo was accompanied by his vice president, Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia and other senior members of the NPP.

On the government side were Madam Hannah Tetteh, the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah amongst other officials who work closely with President Mahama.
