Ghana Blackstars Cruise past Equitorial Guinea to Finals

The Blackstars of Ghana are through to the finals of the 2015 African Cup of Nations. The Blackstars booked their place to the finals after beating the host, Equitorial Guinea in a thrilling semi final match.

The stars opened the scoring with a 42th minute jordan ayew penalty goal. Christian Atsu capitalized on a counter attack and layed a pass for Mubarak Wakaso to score the second goal of the game three minutes after the first goal. The third goal of the game was scored by the captain of the day, Andre dede Ayew with an assist from cambridge striker Kwesi Appiah.

The game was however interrupted when angry fans of the Equatorial Guinea rushed to the football pitch five minutes before the final whistle.

Ghana blackstars are set to meet the elephants of Ivory Coast in the finals on sunday, 8th february 2015.
